Ongoing Commitment To A Big Heart Foundation

December 15, 2022

At Century Contractors, we understand that being an effective steward to our community means choosing causes we believe in and continuing to support these charities year in and year out. We are proud to announce our involvement in the 15th Annual Toys for Tots Golf Tournament, for the 15th consecutive year.

Organized by A Big Heart Foundation, a Charlotte-based 501c3 nonprofit that supports more than a dozen local children’s organizations, the T4T golf event proceeds represent the second largest donation of toys, books, games, and sports equipment in North Carolina for the United States Marines’ Annual Toys for Tots Foundation drive.

Jack Burke, Founder of A Big Heart Foundation, praised our ongoing commitment, “Century Contractors is just one of two companies that has been with us from the beginning. We’re very thankful for their continued support and their active participation every year is a testament to how much they care about helping the less fortunate in our community.”

Our team looks forward to the tournament every year. It’s a great opportunity to get out on the golf course for some fun, and an even better opportunity to network with like-minded business leaders in our community. Enacting positive change for those in need takes more than contributing financial resources, it requires caring, and the gift of time and energy. Toys for Tots is a cause we hold dear, as spreading hope and joy during the holidays closely aligns with our corporate culture and ideals.

For the Century golf team, the annual T4T Tournament is a success in more ways than one. More often than not, our golfers place in the top three!

Howard Smith, President and CEO of Century Contractors, reflects on their involvement and is excited for the years to come,  “The Toys for Tots fundraiser is one of my favorite charity events. We always have a great time and the impact that results is astounding. A Big Heart Foundation can count on our sponsorship for 2023 and beyond.”
